  Arah Perrett

Arah is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute, a qualified business coach, an NLP Master Practitioner, an Insight Discovery Accredited Practitioner, and also has many years’ experience in successfully delivering training in a number of different sectors, in particular in the financial services industry.
As such, she is well placed to see business owners’ situations from their perspective.
Arah worked as a Development Consultant for St. James's Place Wealth Management (SJP), a leading FTSE 100 financial services company, from June 2006 to September 2019.
Since leaving the company, SJP has become one of her consultancy firm's major clients. They have commissioned Arah to create and design various workshops, including Insights Discovery Part 2 and Mastering Personal Impact. She is on their Assessor Panel and regularly assesses trainee financial planners in terms of their fact finding and presentation skills. She also runs workshops on behalf of SJP, including 'Personal Introductions' - a workshop designed to develop referral gathering skills - and 'The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People'.
Arah is a Member of the Advisory Board and an Ambassador for Revival Sanctuary, an online global community connecting female solo business owners and those who are starting out with their dreams.
She is also a contributing writer for Mo2vate® magazine, the micro and small business owner’s GO TO ‘business bible’, written by small business owners FOR small business owners who want to lead in their respective industries.
In addition, Arah is a Standards International Best Practice Trainer and Certification Scheme Assessor, and under this banner she has provided assessment and consultancy services to a range of financial planning firms across the UK.
Standards International (SI) is the leading dedicated certification body in the UK for BS 8577, BS 8453, ISO 22222 and The Paraplanner Standard™ certification, for personal financial planners in the UK and overseas.
BS 8577 Framework for the provision of financial advice and planning services is the only British Standard for financial planning and advice businesses.
ISO 22222 is the International Standard that helps people to decide whether or not they can be confident about the ethics and competence of professionals proposing advice on planning their personal finances. The standard defines six steps of the personal financial planning process.
Arah also has a two-year contract through Standards International, where she provides consulting and coaching services to 5 different SME financial planning firms across the UK.
"The business owners we work with are passionate about providing first-class products and services to their customers and are ambitious about growing their businesses.
They have often reached a plateau and find it challenging to ascend to the next level.
This may be because the infrastructure of the business hasn’t changed since inception and no longer supports what the owner wants to achieve.
They try to plug the gap by increasing their own workload. This means making sacrifices in other important areas: family, leisure and wellbeing.
There is another solution.
Our process begins with the owner:
Why are you doing this?
What do you want to achieve?
We then rebalance the business to achieve the owner’s goals. In so doing, processes are streamlined, customers are better served and the business can thrive.
In addition, one of our key aims is to encourage our clients to pay greater attention to their own wellbeing and the wellbeing of their team and business. In doing this, they will be of even greater help to their customers."
